Accessibility

More ways in.

Accessibility is the reason Intent Controller exists. That includes the product, the website and how we listen when something gets in the way.

Website choices

This site is built with semantic headings and landmarks, keyboard-visible focus, descriptive links, scalable text and a skip link. Decorative graphics are hidden from assistive technology, while interactive demonstrations have text labels.

Animations and smooth scrolling are reduced when your device has “Reduce motion” enabled. The layout reflows from large screens down to narrow mobile viewports without requiring horizontal page scrolling.

Product approach

The Android app is built to combine different kinds of input rather than prescribe one “accessible controller.” It supports face and head movement, physical and on-screen controllers, keyboards, mice, joysticks and custom ESP32 or Pico W hardware.

Profiles make it possible to save a setup for a person or game. Per-channel authority and deliberate re-engagement are designed to make shared and changing inputs more predictable.

Known limitations

Intent Controller is currently in closed beta, and both the app and this website still need testing across a wider range of assistive technologies, switch access setups, screen readers and Android devices. We do not yet claim conformance with a particular accessibility standard.

If a beta feature is difficult to operate, please tell us what input method, device and screen you were using. That context helps us reproduce and improve it.

Accessibility feedback

Email hello@intentcontroller.com. Please include the page or app screen, what you were trying to do, and the browser, device or assistive technology involved if you’re comfortable sharing it.
